Lynn Henke 

Finance & Compliance Officer

Lynn W. Henke is a distinguished leader with a lifetime of service in both civic and church roles.  Born in 1943, he grew up on a poultry ranch in a small farming community in Draper, Utah, served a mission for 2 1/2 years in Brazil for for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, married his wife, Edna, in the Salt Lake Temple, and earned a Business Management degree, with a minor in Accounting, from the University of Utah.  He was a Captain in the U.S. Army Signal Corpse serving a year in Vietnam and as a telephone systems officer, MAIT team leader, and S4 Logistics Officer.  

 

Following his three years in military service Lynn worked for Olivetti Corporation for a short time, and for the next 35 years and as an Accountant and Network Administrator for the State of Utah.  During this time he continued his education through the University, was elected and served 4 years as Mayor of Ivins, Utah, and has served faithfully throughout his life in various church organizations of the Church of Jesus Christ   He and Edna raised five children and are enjoying retirement and their growing family of forty members, including many wonderful  grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 

Lynn serves as Compliance Officer for CHOCU, maintaining transparent financial practices, accountability, and compliance with nonprofit standards.  His wisdom, faith, and experience help to guide CHOCU’s mission to deliver education and opportunity to children from low income families.  His life of service, faith, wisdom, and integrity support the values upon which CHOCU is built.
